Beller, a former partner at Goldman, Sachs , cofounded Peloton in 2005 but was forced to wind down two of his funds in March 2008, liquidating one completely and returning money to investors in another, after a spectacular blowup. Beller and Moses are bigwigs on the finance and charity circuits. Moses is a trustee of Ark, an international children's charity, and the couple together have sponsored a city school, the King Solomon Academy. But the couple is perhaps best known as two of three Goldman bankers whose secretary siphoned off 4.3 million pounds ($7.2 million) from their bank accounts. The secretary, Joyti De-Laurey, was given a seven-year prison sentence on 20 counts of fraud committed between February 2001 and April 2002.
