Michael Bayes is an attorney with HoltzmanVogelJosefiak PLLC, with a primary focus on campaign finance and election law, lobbying and ethics compliance, and tax-exempt organizations. Before joining the firm, Michael served as Counsel and Executive Assistant to a Commissioner on the Federal Election Commission, working extensively on all aspects of the enforcement of federal campaign finance law. Prior to his time at the F.E.C., he served as Deputy Counsel at the Republican National Committee, where he advised on federal and state election law, contracting, employment, and intellectual property matters. Michael received a J.D. from George Washington University Law School, and a B.A. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. He is resident in the Virginia office and a member of the Bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Michael is also a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association. He co-authored “A Lobbyist’s Guide to Campaign Finance” in The Lobbying Compliance Handbook: A Practitioner’s Guide in the Age of HLOGA.
