Timothy Schwertfeger is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nuveen Investments, a 108-year-old firm managing $119 billion in assets. He is the founder of The Chicago Scholars Foundation and the co-founder of the Ariel Nuveen Investment Program, which teaches children hands-on investment skills. He is the chairman of College Summit Chicago and the co-chair of Chicago United. He is also a member of the Education Committee of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, and the board of directors of Hubbard Street Dance, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Field Museum. Tim holds a B.A. in economics and finance from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
