The following year he was promoted to Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Landstar, Mr. Thomas served in various positions at IBM, Whirlpool Corporation and Kimbal International. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with his wife, Lynn, and their two sons.
