As Time Warner Cable's Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy, People and Corporate Development Officer, Peter Stern has oversight of Time Warner Cable’s enterprise-wide strategy, residential broadband and phone businesses, corporate human resource functions, and corporate development—including the company’s IntelligentHome security business, wireless initiatives, and other new businesses. Mr. Stern joined Time Warner Cable more than a decade ago. Previously, he served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Executive Vice President of Product Management and Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning. At Time Warner Inc., the company’s former parent, Mr. Stern served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to that, he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he helped lead the firm’s Technology and Media practices. Mr. Stern received a J.D. from Yale Law School. He was the Case Notes Editor of the Yale Law Journal and author of the book Connecticut Prisoners’ Rights. He is a member of both the New York and Connecticut bars. He has a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard University in a double concentration of music and English. Mr. Stern serves on the board and executive committee of The Cable Center, the non-profit educational arm of the cable industry. He was awarded the cable industry’s Vanguard Award for Young Leadership in 2010.
