James W. Dyke, Jr. is a partner in the Virginia law firm of McGuire Woods LLP, where he specializes in corporate, education, voting rights, government relations and municipal law. He has been a partner with the firm since 1993. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Dyke has extensive professional experience in government and public relations. Among other appointments, he served as Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1990 to 1993 and as Domestic Policy Advisor to former Vice President Walter Mondale. Mr. Dyke has assumed leadership positions in several business and community organizations, including serving as former Chairman of the Fairfax County, Virginia, Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Business Roundtable and the Emerging Business Forum. Mr. Dyke has been a director of Washington Gas Light Company and of WGL Holdings since September 2003.
