It focuses on creating effective integrated marketing solutions that incorporate the company's audio, digital and experiential assets. The company has portfolio of 100 stations in 23 markets, including San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Denver, Portland, Sacramento and Kansas City. Entercom Communications was founded by Joseph M. Field in 1968 and is headquartered in Bala Cynwyd, PA. As expected, Entercom closed Friday November 17 2017 on its $1.7 billion merger with CBS Radio, forming the nation’s second largest radio company with 244 stations in 47 markets (including 23 of the top 25). Entercom rebranded to "Audacy" in 2021 to help establish itself as a modern audio company with a foothold in podcasting and digital audio, in addition to radio.
