Vanguard Charitable was founded by Vanguard in 1997 as an independent 501(c)(3) organization focused on supporting donors' charitable plans. Although we are separate entities, Vanguard Charitable is strongly aligned with Vanguard's principled investment philosophy and unwavering values, including its commitment to diversification, transparency, and cost-effective service. We firmly believe in the importance of long-term, strategic charitable planning that minimizes costs and maximizes the impact of philanthropic giving.
