In May 2020, CEAT was advanced to an ANU Innovation Institute, with the goal of supporting ANU to deliver on its strategic plan by driving a culture of increased industry collaboration. CEAT also strategically supports the University’s translational activities and innovation more broadly, by fostering industry engagement, strengthening the relationship between ANU and CSIRO and leveraging diverse sources of investment. By aligning ANU capabilities to nationally significant priorities and retaining and growing a cohort of key staff working in the field of Agri-Technology, CEAT enables ANU to maximise its contribution to challenges and opportunities in the ag sector. As a driver of cultural and social change, the CEAT Innovation Institute was established with a vision of creating a thriving innovation precinct in Canberra at the forefront of national and global trans-disciplinary agri-technology solutions.
