People Nudge4 brings together faculty, staff, and students across the University of Virginia to design and rigorously evaluate behaviorally-informed solutions. STAFF Ben Castleman Founder and Director, Nudge4 Ben is the founder and director of Nudge4, an Assistant Professor of Education and Public Policy at UVA, and a senior advisor to First Lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative. Kelli Bird Research Director Kelli is the Research Director of Nudge4 Solutions Lab and Research Faculty at the Curry School of Education. She received her Ph.D. in Education Policy Analysis from the University of Virginia in 2016. Danielle Peacock Managing Director Danielle is the Managing Director of Nudge4. She is a certified project manager and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina. STUDENTS Brian Kim PhD Student As a current doctoral student in Education Policy at UVA, he is interested in teacher retention, community college labor market outcomes, and ethical applications of machine learning to both. Daniel Rodriguez PhD Student Dan is a doctoral student in Education Policy at UVA. He holds a Master's in Economics from the University of Virginia. Elle Bezos Student Elle is a Research Assistant for Nudge4 Solutions Lab. She is a third-year undergraduate student in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. Kiernan DiMeglio Student Kiernan is an undergraduate research assistant for Nudge4 Solutions Lab, and studies education policy in pursuit of a Master’s in Public Policy. Affiliates Nudge4 also works closely with researchers, designers, and practitioners at other universities and organizations on a range of projects. Katherine Flaschen Behavioral Scientist Katherine is a Senior Associate at ideas42 and serves as a Behavioral Scientist for Nudge4. She holds a Master’s in Behavioral Marketing from Stanford. Catherine Finnegan Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness Catherine Finnegan is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness in the Department of Research and Reporting at Virginia Community College Systems. TBR - The College System of Tennessee Office of Policy and Strategy The TBR Policy and Strategy research and data team includes 8 people responsible for research, policy analysis, collecting and reporting data, and working with TBR’s 40 community and technical colleges to understand data that informs student success. Amy Moreland Director of Policy Amy Moreland is the Director of Policy in the Office of Policy and Strategy at TBR - The College System of Tennessee.
