Pritzker Realty Group, L.L.C., is a newly formed company. Its predecessor, Pritzker Realty, L.P., was established by Penny Pritzker in 1991 to oversee the non-hotel real estate investments owned by the business interests of the Pritzker family. The assets under management of Pritzker Realty, L.P., included apartment buildings, office and industrial developments, parking lots, and senior living facilities across the U.S. with a combined value of $5 Billion. Among the company's significant achievements was the development of the 49-story Hyatt Center in downtown Chicago, headquarters for Global Hyatt Corporation, Pritzker Realty Group, and Classic Residence by Hyatt. Designed by Harry Cobb, FAIA of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the Hyatt Center has won numerous awards and quickly became recognized as a signature tower in Chicago. Pritzker Realty undertook a strategic divestiture of many of its holdings. Today its management is focused on new investment opportunities.
