In Fall 2016, through a national funding opportunity, North Carolina was selected to increase participation in the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) among low-income older adults. In partnership with North Carolina Department of Human Services (DHHS), the NC Benefits Center uses a proven model of data-driven outreach and enrollment assistance to conduct outreach and provide application assistance for eligible seniors who are not enrolled in Food and Nutrition Services.
