About Us The Sillerman Center draws upon scholarship and practitioner experience to inform philanthropy that moves social justice work forward. We engage emerging and established members of the philanthropic community via publications and programming and through coursework and fellowships that provide real-world experience in social justice grantmaking. The Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy was established in 2008 by a generous gift from Laura and Robert Sillerman. The Center draws upon the deep and diverse expertise of faculty and researchers at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. The Sillerman Center: Publishes and disseminates useable knowledge publications that uplift promising practice in social justice philanthropy and that inform grantmakers on a range of contemporary social challenges and giving opportunities.
