Construction cranes dot the skyline. Areas like the Seaport District, Fort Point Channel, Fenway and Kendall Square are booming with new commercial and residential development. Boston is also home of some of the country’s leading social innovations and public sector initiatives.
But not all news is good. A recent ranking listed Boston as first in the country in income inequality. Affordable housing is beyond the reach of more and more residents – even middle class families. And too many of our city’s most vulnerable risk being left far behind.
