Founded in 2000, the Oracle Education Foundation has always aimed to advance technological fluency and inclusion. The way we deliver on that goal has gone through three major evolutions: first, we made hardware grants; then we provided ThinkQuest; and currently we provide a program that teaches technology and design thinking, which we’ve been developing and refining since 2014. Technology and Design Thinking Since 2014, the Foundation has provided a set of classes in which students learn coding, electrical engineering, and user-centered design from real practitioners, and then apply their skills and knowledge to prototyping solutions. We offer a variety of 30-hour classes at Levels 1-3 and internships at Level 4. Learn more about the current program ThinkQuest From 2003-2013, the Foundation provided ThinkQuest, a comprehensive online learning platform and annual competition that engaged hundreds of thousands of students and educators globally. Hardware Grants From 2000-2003, the Foundation provided grants of New Internet Computers and Apple equipment to public schools in the United States, with significant numbers of students qualifying for free and reduced price school lunches.
