ATA Airlines emerged from bankruptcy in 2006 following a restructuring. As part of its reorganization, the company changed its name to Global Aero Logistics. It formerly operated a major hub at Chicago's Midway Airport and a minor hub at Indianapolis, but now operates a largely decentralized network that connects cities served by Southwest Airlines to non-Southwest cities. It also runs a substantial charter transport business.
