J.F. Shea Co., Inc.

JF Shea, of Walnut, Calif., is a diversified construction company that builds homes and commercial facilities. The firm also manages commercial buildings and produces concrete. The company is one of the oldest privately held construction businesses in the U.S. and currently has eight divisions: Shea Homes, Shea Properties, JF Shea Construction, JF Shea Redding, Reed Manufacturing, Venture Capital, Shea Mortgage and Blue Star. Famous projects include the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hoover Dam and the Bay Area Rapid Transit System (BART).
