Murdock Holding Company is comprised of Dole Food Company and Castle & Cooke. Founded in 1851, Dole is the largest U.S. producer and marketer of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and fresh-cut flowers. The company also markets a growing line of packaged and frozen foods. Dole operates in more than 90 countries. Castle & Cooke, and its affiliated companies, operate businesses that include real estate, transportation leasing equipment and brick manufacturing.
