We believe the grit and domain expertise of social change agents are the raw materials of entrepreneurship. GCV has developed a rigorous curriculum and proven process for refining their raw passion and insight into scalable enterprises that deliver practical impact. Our core programming challenges social entrepreneurs to scope and quantify the opportunity that their innovation presents, refine their plan for execution and defend their capitalization strategy. Over an intensive 12-week period, our staff guides entrepreneurs through a series of expert and investor panels, tactical workshops, peer-to-peer critique, and one-on-one coaching, cumulating in an investor pitch event. Kauffman Foundation studies show that the likelihood of a start-up obtaining funding is less than 0.1% and that nearly half of the accelerators they studied failed to produce a single company that obtained funding. GCV helps entrepreneurs beat the odds.
