GenSpring Family Offices

GenSpring was launched in 1989 as Asset Management Advisors to capture private client group customers from accounting giant Andersen, which crumbled amid criminal charges related to its audits of Enron Corp. Based in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., GenSpring is an affiliate of SunTrust Banks Inc. and manages nearly $15 billion in assets in 2008. The company operates other offices in Atlanta; Charlotte, N.C.; Greenwich, Conn.; New York; Miami, Orlando, Palm Beach, Tampa and Sarasota, Fla.; and Washington.
