Red Lobster Hospitality LLC

Casual dining seafood chain

Golden Gate Capital acquired Red Lobster from Darden Restaurants in 2014 and Thai Union - a Bangkok-based seafood supplier- paid $575 million in 2016 for a minority stake in the business. Thai Union led an investment group that surprisingly bought control of the chain in 2020, during the depths of the pandemic. In 2024 Thai Union indicated interest selling the chain.
