This "center-left" think tank was originally founded by the Democratic Leadership Council in 1989. This Institute aims to promote radically pragmatic ideas for moving America beyond ideological and partisan deadlock. It develops fresh proposals for stimulating U.S. economic growth and has close ties to "New Democrats" in Congress, as well as leading governors and a host of dynamic mayors and metro leaders.
