Owner of "America's team" led university of Arkansas Razorbacks to Cotton Bowl title in 1964. Joined father's insurance company. Ventured into energy; found natural gas in first 13 wells dug 1970s. Bought pro football's Dallas Cowboys in 1989 for $150 million; team worth $1.2 billion today.
