John C. Barpoulis is senior vice president and chief financial officer for USEC Inc. He oversees the financial activities of the corporation, including accounting, treasury, financial and strategic planning, tax, procurement and investor relations. Prior to joining USEC, Mr. Barpoulis served as vice president and treasurer of National Energy & Gas Transmission, Inc. (NEGT), formerly a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation. Prior to that, he served in financial positions of increasing responsibility at U.S. Generating Company, an NEGT subsidiary, and served as a consultant with Berner, Lanphier and Associates, which provided analytical services to the U.S. Department of Defense. Mr. Barpoulis received a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Vassar College and a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. He also earned a master of business administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
