Eric Lycan maintains a regulatory, campaign finance and election law practice, helping individuals and businesses to make their voices heard by policymakers. He also brings to his clients a wealth of experience in complex litigation, business and public policy issues. He practices in all state and federal courts in Kentucky, as well as before a number of state and federal administrative agencies. He is also admitted to practice in West Virginia and in the Southern District of West Virginia. Mr. Lycan is a dedicated Republican, providing legal advice to campaigns, candidates and issues groups. Eric was counsel for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's 2014 reelection effort. He is the outside general counsel to the Republican Party of Kentucky, and was recently elected Vice President for Judicial Affairs and Chair of the Judicial Affairs Committee for the Republican National Lawyers Association. He has advised advocacy groups and legislative caucuses across the region and the nation, including Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Eric also represents the Kentucky Justice & Public Safety Cabinet in its groundbreaking civil actions against unregulated offshore internet gambling operations and the internet domains through which they operate. He was the Kentucky Chairman of Lawyers for Romney in 2012, Co-Chairman of Lawyers for McCain in 2008 and of the Young Professionals For W `04. Mr. Lycan graduated from Centre College of Kentucky in 1992 with a B.A. in Economics and Government and received his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1995. He is active in the Bluegrass community, being the former President and Chairman of the Board of Lexington Young Professionals Association, the former President and Chairman of the Board of the Lexington Children's Theatre and former Chair of Trustees of Centenary United Methodist Church. He served as Commissioner of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Ethics Commission, and has served on a number of nonprofit boards of directors.
