Arnie Jacobs has a broad background in general corporate and securities law with an emphasis on private and public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. His practice includes representing diverse private equity funds and public companies, and working on public offerings, private placements, venture capital and private equity investments, and mergers and acquisitions. He twice was a member of Proskauer’s six-person Executive Committee, which governs the firm. As a result of his most recent election to the Executive Committee, he gave up his position as co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department. Arnie is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cardozo Law School, and was for 15 years an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School. While he was Chairman of the Committee on Securities Regulation of the New York City Bar Association, he testified on securities legislation before committees of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
