@galbraith You're right. I was being sloppy.

galbraith galbraith

@cunctator I changed the DFA Holdings that contributed to Ben Carson's One Vote. I don't think it was the Dole Subsidiary, but rather an LLC owned by the other big One Vote donor David F Couch

Hey Take Back Chicago, my name is Rob and I'm a research analyst at PAI/LittleSis. I put together this map of the players in the recent story about the Pritzkers making a ton from the construction and leasing of the Chicago FBI field office and thought you might be interested.

The map is here: http://littlesis.org/maps/297-pritzker-gr...

On January 9, 2006 an entity related to Michael Joseph, MLJ Investment, donated $20,000 to the Eliot Spitzer, though the NYS Dep't of State has no record of an entity called MLJ Investment. The address on the Board of Elections filing is the same as many Michael Joseph-tied businesses.

UB Watch Shawn Black appears not to be Thomas Black's son, but I assume he is somehow related since they share a last name, work at the same firm, followed the same education path (Notre Dame>UB Law), and are both top donors to Joe Donnelly.

galbraith galbraith

Hey UB Watch, UB Law School has selected Joe Donnelly, the junior senator from Indiana as its 2014 commencement speaker.

Donnelly, a "Blue Dog" Democrat who is pro-life, pro-Keystone XL, and against EPA carbon dioxide regulations, has no major legislative accomplishments and has been called "the accidental senator" after winning his election due to his opponent's remarks about abortion and rape.

Donnelly HAS accomplished a friendship with University at Buffalo Foundation, Inc. director and UB Law School Dean's Advisory Council member Thomas E Black Jr, with whom he attended Notre Dame.

Black has donated $26,200 to Donnelly since 2003 and his son @entity:1530100[Shawn P Black] has given $22,400 since 2004. Donnelly's honorarium for his commencement speech appears to be another gift from his friend who rules UB.

@galbraith Great post! Amazed at how widespread the practice has become at SUNY. Salary supplements pop up at almost all public universities, but few go as far as this.

galbraith galbraith

@WileECoyote I missed your note on David R Smith when you originally posted it. Great catch! We posted about it on our blog: http://blog.littlesis.org/2013/11/20/suny...
