Notes Lydia J. Barrett brings more than 27 years of strategic and tactical customer and marketing leadership experience to ShotSpotter. Ms. Barrett now oversees customer account management and communications. Her work focuses primarily on ensuring customer success by utilizing the ShotSpotter gunfire data and intelligence to drive measurable line of sight and reportable outcomes. Key to this initiative is the company’s Outcomes Scorecard Program which helps agencies and their respective cities report out their gun violence reduction efforts. A veteran of both start-up and large enterprise corporations, she previously was director of marketing at Tiburon Inc., where she was instrumental in revitalizing the company’s industry position and brand. Prior to Tiburon, she was a senior consultant at Cisco where she developed and executed a business transformation marketing program that supported the branding and business value of Cisco’s Architectures & Industry Solutions. As Oracle’s director of products and technology, program management, training and development, she oversaw the strategy, development, and execution of development training programs in the U.S. and internationally. Previous to her role at Oracle, she served as the vice president of global marketing operations at PeopleSoft, where she helped lead the worldwide launch of PeopleSoft 8, and developed successful marketing effectiveness and measurement initiatives. Earlier in her career she held executive and management positions at GMAC Global Relocation Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and The Rowland Company, a public relations division of Saatchi & Saatchi. Barrett is responsible for accelerating ShotSpotter’s growth in the public safety technology solutions market and advancing the company’s industry and community leadership in helping cities and law enforcement address gun violence issues and create safer and more secure communities. She is an advisory board member of the Institute for Health & Healing, one of the country’s leading integrative medicine centers and a division of California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), Sutter Health. She attended Mary Washington University and holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also successfully completed the Innovation in Policing Management graduate course at the University of New Haven, CT.
