UCSF-UC Berkeley Schwab Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity Center This initiative draws on the deep and diverse strengths of both campuses – in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, neurology, neuroscience, education and public health – to accelerate research; develop and implement better screening and assessment tools; test new interventions; and reduce the social stigma surrounding dyslexia and other learning disorders. Science-based Innovation in Learning Center SIL is a new, innovative and cross-disciplinary ‘Precision Ed-Health’ center with partners across the University of California campuses throughout the state of CA. It will tackle issues associated with education and health disparity with a particular emphasis on underrepresented populations, with an ultimate goal of providing all children with the best educational and health outcomes.
