The objective of the Center for Engineered Natural Intelligence (CENI) is to leverage neurobiological and neurophysiological principles to develop mathematical models and algorithms for new forms of artificial intelli- gence. We build so ware and hardware that enable new forms of machine computation, learning, and intelligence by replicating elements of neural processing. We use these algorithms and hardware to design next-genera- tion hybrid neurobiological-engineered systems that can be integrated into non-biological engineered systems of value to our industry partners. Our focus is on the development of systems capable of achieving real- time, robust, and adaptive situational and contextual learning, analytics, pattern recognition and computation at ultra low power and with minimal training.
