Founded Rumie to use new technology in creative ways to lower the barriers to learning for those who lack access. Rumie technology is today being used in over 30 countries and the organization is the subject of case studies published by both Harvard Business School and INSEAD Business School.
Stepped back from day-to-day operations into the Board Chair role in in 2018 and 2019, during which I was BlackRock's Chief Investment Officer for Sustainable Investing. I returned fully to the CEO role at Rumie in 2020 to help pioneer a new model of mobile-first microlearning that is (i) more effective at driving learning outcomes than traditional learning models and also (ii) just as fun and as easy for learners as using social media. (And far more socially useful.)
