After Exeter, Halfon worked for a time selling hotel memberships at an upmarket London hotel, before he got a job as a part-time researcher for the then Conservative MP for Blackpool North, Harold Elletson, and subsequently worked for other Conservative MPs, including Michael Fabricant.[10] He was chief of staff for the Conservative MP Oliver Letwin before becoming political director for Conservative Friends of Israel.
