| Notes | Business Advisory Council The Business Advisory Council is a consortium of private sector entities that serves as both a financial and intellectual resource to the CSG Justice Center. The Business Advisory Council will provide thought leadership, guidance, and the private sector perspective to Justice Center leadership and staff on the current work and future issues facing America’s criminal justice system. malcom glennUber Malcom Glenn Head of Global Policy, Accessibility and Underserved Communities Malcom Glenn manages strategic partnerships at Uber Technologies in Washington, DC, where he focuses on public policy and community engagement with national organizations. He spearheads Uber’s outreach around the expansion of self-driving technology, making the platform more accessible for underserved communities, and increasing opportunities for drivers facing barriers to work. Prior to joining Uber, Glenn was an executive communications manager at Google, where he developed strategic communications for Google’s chief financial officer and his leadership team. He was also previously the national director of communications at the American Federation for Children, an advocacy organization focused on expanding educational options for children from low-income families, and worked on issue campaigns at the polling firm, Greenberg Quinlan Rosner. Glenn has a BA in History from Harvard College, where he was the president of The Harvard Crimson. jeffrey harrisAlkermes Jeffrey Harris Vice President, Policy and Government Relations Jeffrey Harris serves as vice president of Policy & Government Relations at Alkermes. He is responsible for leading all state government programs related to addiction and serious mental illnesses and leads a team of state policy directors across the United States. Since joining Alkermes in 2006, Harris has held several leadership roles in the areas of market development, criminal justice marketing, and key accounts. He previously worked at Johnson & Johnson in various commercial roles and has extensive industry experience developing and leading strategies in complex systems, including integrated health systems and hospitals, as well as federal, state and local governments. Harris has a BBA in Finance from Eastern Michigan University. tim houriganThe Home Depot Tim Hourigan Executive Vice President, Human Resources Tim Hourigan oversees all aspects of human resource management for over 400,000 associates at The Home Depot. Most recently, he served as president of the company’s Southern Division, where he was responsible for the sales and operations of more than 690 stores, leading a team of more than 100,000 associates in 15 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas. Hourigan previously led the human resources function for the company’s U.S. stores and operations and oversaw the company’s compensation, benefits, and HR systems. Earlier in his career, Hourigan held finance, human resources, and operational leadership roles, including senior vice president and chief operating officer at Homelife Corp., as well as finance, human resources, and international training roles with Ernst & Young, Batus, Inc. and Sears Roebuck & Company. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bellarmine University and is a certified public accountant. silas-horst-thumbKoch Industries Silas Horst Public Policy Manager Silas Horst is a public policy manager at Koch Industries and a graduate of the Ashbrook Scholar Program at Ashland University. His public policy work focuses on criminal justice reform, access to opportunity, and privacy and technology. |
