Jay Spector is a respected thought leader in the regional and national human service arena who works with local, state and national public-private partners to bring a wide range of counseling, workforce development, rehabilitation and in-home care programs to the tri-state area.
His work and innovation spans over 35 years and includes workforce development planning with the city of Philadelphia. Spector worked closely with business leaders to create the Private Industry Council which today is Philadelphia Works, Inc. (PWI). Spector just completed his term on the board of PWI, and is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia. He is a member of the National Skills Coalition and the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA) and works nationally on innovative human services solutions.
Within the Jewish community, he was the former President and is currently on the Board of the JPRO Network, a professional development association representing Jewish communal agencies in North America. He serves on the Board of the Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition. He is also a member of the JEVS Foundation Board of Directors.
Jay holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and combines his passion for helping people achieve self-sufficiency with his extensive expertise in developing and implementing innovative employment, training, rehabilitation, and health care programs, organizational change, business development, union relations, and collaborative leadership. |
