INITIATIVE PURPOSE AND GOALS:
New Orleans Kids Partnership is a voluntary collaboration of 40+ partner organizations that utilize the tenets of collective impact in order to realize a shared vision for children and youth in New Orleans. This means that partner organizations, including leaders from non-profit, government, education and research sectors convene to share resources, build networks and complete collaborative projects that align with the shared NOKP mission and vision.
As a backbone organization, NOKP also has a centralized infrastructure and dedicated staff to manage systems and facilitate continued communication. Additionally, NOKP uses the Five Promises, a proven framework for anticipating and meeting the needs of children in order to reach adult success. This framework, created by America’s Promise Alliance, acts as a foundation for all collaborative projects and sets a standard for providing quality services for children and youth in New Orleans.
The mission of NOKP is to expand access to high quality services for children, youth and families in Greater New Orleans through collective impact.

New Orleans Kids Partnership is a seperate 501C3 nonprofit. NOKP operates with full time staff including an Operations Director and AmeriCorp VISTA's.

ACTIVITIES
Publish 1500+ copies and an online version of a free bi-annual free resource directory for youth in New Orleans http://nokp.org/connect2educate-online/.
Develop and incubate NOLA Go! a pilot program for a citywide youth smartcard that will provide youth in New Orleans with free public transit in order to connect them to a network of coordinated youth services.http://nokp.org/nola-go-youth-smartcard/
Provide backbone support and coordinate a city wide early literacy campaign.
MILESTONES
5000 Connect 2 Educate resource directories have been distributed since 2013.
NOLA Go! Pilot program will produce a 20% increase in participant attendance at afterschool programs.
100% parent satisfaction for NOKP early literacy programs.
