Mr. J. Paul Carey, of Sandy Spring, Maryland, has served as Executive Vice President of Sallie Mae, and President and Director of the Student Loan Marketing Association since 1997. Sallie Mae is the nation's leading provider of financial services for postsecondary education and the country's largest provider of funding for education loans. Mr. Carey was previously a partner at LCL, Ltd., a financial management consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He received a B.A. degree from Catholic University and a M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland. |
