School Health Clinics
In 2013, the Education Plus School Health Clinics served over 600 medically underserved children in West Philadelphia through nurse practitioner-managed clinics located inside Belmont Charter School. In addition to providing health services, the clinics offered nutrition coun- seling, health outreach and education, chronic disease management, referrals and prescriptions to all students and their families. A strategic partnership with Keystone-AmeriHealth was initiated that will bring in- surance reimbursements to the clinic, ensuring future sustainability. |
