Danya oversaw programs to help 2,150 low-wage workers earn credentials, get promoted, and increase financial assets. She supported, developed, and facilitated information sharing among 24 career coaches, instructors, and program managers at five sites, helping them to meet challenging monthly goals. She convened three “promising practices” workshops to help staff build support systems and led discussions among senior staff around program sustainability. As one of her first tasks, she launched a new program location at LaGuardia Community College, training team members in data collection, entry, and analysis tools; required outcomes; and best practices for achieving goals. She also led trainings and created materials to ensure team members understood how and why data was being collected; communicated program goals and outcomes to the Mayor’s Office, the Center for Economic Opportunity, employers, community-based partners, and other stakeholders; and worked with other managers to integrate programming for incumbent workers into center operations.
