In 2012 EMCF launched PropelNext to assist promising nonprofits in strengthening their capacity to use data for learning, self-evaluation and ongoing improvement. In contrast to EMCF’s large, long-term investments focused primarily on growth and quality, PropelNext makes smaller grants to organizations whose programs are promising but not yet fully formed or codified.
PropelNext is an integrated three-year program that provides each grantee unrestricted funding along with an equal investment in expert coaching, group learning sessions, and a peer learning community. Through the initiative, grantees enhance and sharpen their program models, implement robust performance management systems, and develop organizational cultures that facilitate and practice ongoing learning and assessment. |
