Start Date 2018-11-00
Notes Behavioral Cities Summit Fri, Nov 16, 2018 (All day) Co-hosted by ideas42 and the Kahneman-Treisman Center, the 2018 Behavioral Cities Summit will convene people involved in applied behavioral science efforts within cities, representing New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Durham, Ontario. The goals for this inaugural summit are threefold: Community Building: We want to strengthen the community of municipal behavioral science practitioners and build a community of practice through networking, information sharing, and the chance to connect informally. Knowledge Sharing: We want attendees to share their practical knowledge and experience around what it takes to set up and run municipal behavioral units – everything from staffing and budgeting, through project selection and management, to the political economy. Partnership Incubation: We want to encourage partnerships between academics and the public sector. We hope to help researchers and civil servants find routes to pursue their independent goals in concert, and maximize each other’s comparative advantages. Invited guests should have received an email with links to the summit agenda and registration pages. Contact Leslie Rowley if your organization will be a part of the summit and you need the links.
