Rhode Island Kids Count
Rhode Island KIDS COUNT is a statewide children's policy organization dedicated to improving the health, education, economic well-being and safety of Rhode Island's children.
Program Description
Embracing student-centered learning is one of the keys to increasing Rhode Island’s high school graduation rate, closing achievement gaps, and ensuring college and career readiness. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT proposes to: (1) Increase awareness of how student-centered learning can help increase student engagement, graduation rates, and college and career readiness, (2) Increase awareness of how existing policies and regulations already support student-centered learning, (3) Identify and advocate for legislative, regulatory, and practice changes needed to increase use of student-centered learning practices, and (4) Support high-quality implementation of student-centered learning practices statewide. |
