Hillary Paul

Hillary Paul is a recent graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and currently teaches health, marine biology, and engineering at the KIPP New York City College Prep High School, while concurrently pursuing her M.Ed. in the Sociology of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. At Stevens, Paul was a two-year captain of the newly founded field hockey program, and assisted the team to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2009. She ran track, played soccer, was a leader of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, served as the president of the Gear and Triangle Honor Society, and was a member of both the Tau Beta Pi Engineering, and Order of Omega Greek, honor societies. For two summers, Paul served as the assistant director of the Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. Prior to her current teaching position, she taught health at the KIPP New York City College Prep High School, the first KIPP high school in New York City, and what will soon be the largest KIPP high school in the nation. Paul holds a B.E. in biomedical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.A. in science education and supervision from Teachers College, Columbia University, with a concentration in teaching biology for grades 7–12.
