Ms. Newhall is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Secretary and a Director of Rural Cellular Corporation ("RRC"), a cellular communications corporation located in Alexandria, Minn. She has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since August 2000, as Secretary since February 2000 and as a Director since August 1999. RRC has entered into a publicly announced merger agreement with Verizon that has been approved by RCC's shareowners. The merger is expected to close in the first half of 2008. Ms. Newhall has served as a Director of IPL, WPL and Resources since 2003.
