Mrs. Coleman is the Founder and President of The Coleman Group, Inc. Mrs. Coleman has more than 25 years of experience in Information Systems and Engineering Management in the federal sector. Mrs. Coleman has developed the strategic direction for the company that has resulted in double digit growth for each of the last six years. Her focus on customer service, employee development, and community service has garnered the respect for the company with numerous federal agencies and industry partners and positioned CGI for further dramatic growth and an expanded reputation for quality. Mrs. Coleman is the Vice President (VP) of Small Business Programs for the AFCEA Bethesda chapter, in which she coordinates programs to address the needs of the small business community. She is also a member of Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the University System of Maryland Universities at Shady Grove. Mrs. Coleman is also a former member of the Prince George’s County Women Business Owners Board of Directors. Mrs. Coleman is also very active in the community and with her church. She supports various charitable organizations and believes in the power of one to change the world. Her passionate support of the AFCEA Bethesda Children’s Inn Gala is demonstrated annually through her participation on the Planning Committee. She values education and has established the Powell Foundation to provide financial assistance to students from socially and economically disadvantaged communities who are in pursuit of higher education. Mrs. Coleman is a graduate of Spelman College with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as George Washington University, where she obtained her Master’s in Information Systems.
