David Kim

David Kim is a Partner and Co Head of the Investor Relations team and is based in New York. David joined Apax in 2000 and was a Partner in the Retail & Consumer team. He has both led and participated in a number of deals including Contech Construction Products, Norcraft Cabinets and Tommy Bahama. Prior to joining Apax Partners, David was a Principal at Butler Capital Corporation and an artillery officer in the U.S. Army where he graduated from the U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger schools. David received a BS with Distinction from the United States Military Academy, West Point and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. David is also the Founder and President of the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation which provides college scholarships to military children who have lost a parent to combat or training.
