John C. "Jack" Fisher, a 2006 appointee to the OSU Board of Trustees, is a native of Bucyrus, Ohio. He now lives in Columbus and serves as executive vice president of The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Inc., a 229,000 member state organization representing agriculture at local, state and national levels. Mr. Fisher currently serves as a member of the boards of directors for the U.S. Feed Grains Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation, and Children’s Hunger Alliance. Fisher also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for BioOhio and the Advisory Board for the Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agriculture from The Ohio State University and a master’s in counseling from Ball State University. He is a member of the OSU President’s Club, OSU Department of Animal Science Hall of Fame, and has been awarded the OSU College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Fisher and his wife, Judy, are the parents of three grown children.
