Joined the amfAR board in September 1989. Notable experience and expertise in developing innovative community-service initiatives that benefit a broad range of communities and populations. Has been instrumental in securing participation by prominent individuals as speakers, moderators, or honorees at amfAR-sponsored public service and fundraising events. Has also actively assisted in soliciting funds to support amfAR's grant-making programs. Since 1996, Ms. Eisner has served as president of The Eisner Foundation, which funds innovative programs, especially medical and dental care programs, that address the needs of underserved children in several southern California counties. In addition to her service in support of amfAR's mission, she currently serves on the board of directors of the Harvard Westlake School. She is the past chairman of the board of the California Community Foundation. She is a member of the Aspen Music Festival National Council and the Blue Ribbon Committee of the Music Center of Los Angeles, and also serves on the board of visitors of the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles.
