Adam E Max

Adam Max, an investment manager who became a leading patron of Brooklyn cultural institutions, notably the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where he had been board chairman since 2017, died on July 27 2020 at his home in East Hampton, N.Y. He was 62. Adam Max is a Partner of The Jordan Company. He is also a member of the firm’s Partnership Board. Adam joined TJC in 1986. He serves and has served on the board of directors of several portfolio companies. He is a Trustee and Chair of the Brooklyn Academy of Music. He is also a former Trustee of the Collegiate School in New York City and former Chair of Collegiate’s Investment Committee. Adam holds a BA degree in English and History from Brown University. He married Diane Peterson, a former chairwoman of Planned Parenthood of New York City, in 1985. She survives him, along with their children, Hannah, Jonah and Ezra; and his brothers, Daniel and Eric.
