Mr. Jeffrey Alan Altman is the Managing Partner, Founder, and Portfolio Manager at Owl Creek Asset Management LP. He founded the firm in June 2001. Mr. Altman directs all aspects of research and trading on all investments and leads an investment group of eight at Owl Creek. From 1996 to 2001, he was employed at Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC, (formerly Heine Securities Corporation) where, Mr. Altman was a Portfolio Manager. He was the Head of a group that managed a portfolio of distressed securities. During his 13 years at both Franklin Mutual and Heine Securities Corporation, Mr. Altman served in various capacities, including Junior Analyst, Senior Analyst, Head Trader of the bankruptcy and distressed group, Senior Vice President, and Senior Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Heine Securities full time, he spent the summers of 1985 and 1987 as an Analyst Assistant at Heine Securities while enrolled at Tulane University. During the summers of 1984 and 1986, Mr. Altman worked as a Trader’s Assistant on the floors of both the American Stock Exchange and the COMEX. He has been involved in the restructuring of companies in all industries including real estate, finance, oil and gas, long-term care, death care, utilities as well as various manufacturing companies. Mr. Altman was a Director, Chairman of Compensation Committee, and Member of Corporate Governance Committee of Capital Trust, Inc. He was the Chairman of Value Property Trust from 1995 to 1998, Director of Resurgence Properties from 1995 to 1999, and Director of MWCR LLC and Sweda LLC. Mr. Altman was a Director of Decision One Holdings Corporation, Fine Host Corporation, and Kindred Healthcare, Inc. He was a Co-Chairman of the Finova Creditors Committee from April to June 2001. Mr. Altman graduated with a degree in Business from Tulane University in 1988.
