Mr. Scott served as president and chief executive officer in the 1970s of the US/USSR Trade and Economic Council, a quasi-governmental body; prior to that, he served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce and director of US Private Investment Corp., also a government body, in the administration of President Nixon. He served as chairman of the Palm Beach Civic Association. Mr. Scott is a former director of several corporations, including former director and executive committee chairman of the Planned Parenthood area chapter and a senior warden of the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. He is a graduate of Yale University.
